A couple of years ago, I was fishing in the Corpus Christi area using a 5-gallon bucket for my live shrimp with one of the best aerators available, but my shrimp kept dying very quickly. As my trip spanned several days, I kept asking the bait shops what I was doing wrong, and they kept offering ideas that could help. Several recommended giving the shrimp something to climb on in the bucket, a towel or cloth of some sort, so they didn’t have to swim constantly. I thought about that log and hard after the trip and went home and created the ShrimpSaver for use in any 5-gallon bucket.
The product is very simple: a net that fits inside any 5-gallon bucket, secures to the bottom with suction cups, and to the top with a rubber band or your bucket lid.
